DINING
Rakhine cuisine is famous in Myanmar for fresh seafood and fish used by the coastal dwelling chefs, the fiery and sour dishes with fresh ingredients and spicy pastes, using less oil than other Burmese areas.
Chef Nu Nu Yee sources all foods from the region and local markets where possible, and the hotel grows a small herb and vegetable garden to supplement.
The food draws on traditional recipes as well as some Shan influences and international fare. Taste the famous Rakhine Mo Thi, or our own Kyat Thauk San curry spiced by the local Ar Pu Sha Pu Ywat leaf.
Relax in the evenings in the outdoor seating around our central lodge or beneath the stone carvings at our long bar. Our bar staff will be happy to sort one of our signature cocktails and classic drinks.
Our wine selection is drawn from new and old world estates, and will give you the chance to taste Myanmar’s own burgeoning entomological delights, grown and matured in the Inle Lake region.
