From a taste of Rahkine life in the local market, head up to the 12th century Pisi-Phaya for views of the spectacular landscape, then f our important sites including Mrauk U’s largest shrine, the Koe-thaung Pagoda. After seeing some of the local artisans we will explore the archaeological remains of the palace.

After lunch and a recharge at the hotel, you will head out to Mrauk U’s most famous shrine and testament to the height of King Min Bin ‘s power, the Shit-thaung pagoda, before visiting other fascinating sites of the northern group, Andaw-thein, Ratanabon Pagoda, and Htu-kan-thein ordination hall. The day ends with sunset from the ancient capital’ s best vantage point.
